A place like New York City can be pretty harsh, right? Some people in their 50's are afraid to set foot in the city because of it's busy streets. But for one specific 14 year old, New York is anything but scary. "New York is awesome. So many different people just wandering the streets, living or trying to find life. It's really really cool just to sit and watch," says Zac Hanson, the youngest band member of Hanson. This guy is no stranger to New York either. Not to long ago his brothers performed Live at the 10 Spot in a New York City ballroom. They also have been there many times before for promos for their CD "Middle of Nowhere." This brown-eyed, blonde-haired cutie hasn't let all the bustle of his life get to his head either. "I am still just Zac Hanson. Whether I would still be sitting in Tulsa right now, with no record deal, and just a small town band, I am the same now as I would be then," Zac explains. Yet every girl that sees Zac seems to swoon head-over-heels for him. "I don't understand the screaming thing. The first time we really had a crowd at Paramus Mall, I wanted to see just how loud they could get. I was so fascinated that ME, Zac Hanson, had girls screaming at me," he says. Well, he definitly has girls screaming at him. He gets an average 500 e-mails a day from girls pledging their love to him. So, whats his take on girls? "Girls? I'm 12! A couple years ago, I still believed in coodies! No, but girls are cool. I like them! But not as anything but friends for awhile longer," Zac explains. Since the romance in his life hasn't really began yet, when the subject of basic things he likes comes up, he can't stop talking. "Well food wise, I like anything sweet! SUGAR! I have to say that sugar is good. If I had it my way, the whole world would be made of Twinkies," Zac declares. He doesn't seem to need the sugar though. He is known for his wild and crazy jokes on and off stage. He has an amazing exuberance that draws the fans into any interview or concert Hanson does. "I like to be wild. It makes life fun. If I was just normal, like 'Hi' then I wouldn't be me. Me is 'HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!", Zac demonstrates. While him and his brothers are in the musical spotlight, Zac is loved for being him. His fans wouldn't want anything less.
